Jacob A. Bradley Memorial Scholarship Overview

The Bradley Family Foundation is offering a renewable, annual scholarship for a maximum of four years. For every year of financial support, students will also have access to individualized mentorship from an accomplished leader in their related field. Eligible applicants must be a U.S. citizen and graduating high school senior within Conroe Independent School District. Eligible applicants must have plans to attend a four year college or university full time in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree. Accepted fields of study include Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates must demonstrate strong character, leadership skills, integrity, and display an interest in mentorship.

The Jacob A. Bradley scholarship was created in honor of The Bradley’s late son. Jacob passed away in 2019 at the age of 20. Jacob didn’t have the chance to finish his college education and make his mark on the world, but he was a very caring individual who would have wanted to see others succeed. He lived his life to the fullest, which is what the Bradley Family envisions for the scholarship recipient as well.

Scholarship Renewal Process Overview

Scholarship recipients are eligible to receive scholarship funds and mentorship for a maximum of four academic years. Recipients are expected to meet renewal criteria each semester, including maintaining a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0, actively participating in their mentor relationship, and remaining in good standing with their college or university. Students who fail to meet all criteria set forth are subject to review. Detailed renewal criteria are shared with scholarship recipients.

Mentorship Overview

Our carefully selected mentors are respected, accomplished leaders that span a variety of fields and interests. The mentor-mentee relationship draws on career experience and advice to support mentee growth and development  in many ways, always in an encouraging nature. This relationship can help to serve as a bridge for students to connect school with the workplace. Bradley Family Foundation mentors and scholarship recipients are matched 1:1 based on an overlap of specific topical interests and compatibility. Formal mentoring relationships are intended to last the duration of financial support for each student.
